Alex Comsia

Alex Comsia is a senior business administration major at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before his time at Carolina, Comsia was a member of the Canadian National Team, making appearances for the U-20, U-17 and U-14 sides. He was a member of the Vancouver Whitecaps developmental academy, winning the USSDA Northwest Championship with the U-16s and the U-18s. In his first year at Carolina, Comsia was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team and the All-ACC Academic Team after appearing in 18 games and earning 13 starts. In his second year, 2016, Comsia started all 21 matches for the Tar Heels as they reached the College Cup. He was selected for the ACC Honor Roll, All-ACC Academic Team, Third Team All-American and received the NCAA Elite 90 Award for having the highest GPA at the College Cup. In his junior campaign, 2017, Comsia started all 22 games for the Tar Heels and led the team in minutes played with 1,977. He was selected as Third Team All-ACC, Second Team NCAA Division I Scholar All-American and First Team Scholar All-South Region.
